"We can get coffee inside Karina, I'm not doing nothing until the others get back." He said, a hint of resentment in his voice from being left to do the dirty work. They walked up the row of pews and went behind the altar, where there was a dusty looking rug. Cedric kicked the rug aside, and Dekres grudingly opened it. When they got to the bottom, Cedric said "Ok, you two can do what you like for a bit, me and Kane can take this guy to the morgue." He smiled at Karina, and stuck his finger up and Dekres, before walking down a dark passage to the left with Kane and the body.

Master Looter Posts: 2334 Joined: 14 Jan 2008 | Eliza grabbed Rowan by the ear and walked him towards the door muttering "you are more than grounded, Rowan thats the last time I catch you schmoozing with the the Devil you know NO idea how angry I am!" into Rowan's ear. And dragged him off to the sanctuary......this was the last time he went near her. Eliza knew the Devil used him because eh was a loose canon and easy to seduce. The last person she had seen doing "Favors" for the Devil ended up first running away from the Guardians then a heap of ashes in a brothel's back room. She wasn't going to let a fine warrior like Rowan get himself destroyed by the Devil's sultry-but-deadly clutches. "Rowan" Eliza said, stopping inside the church "You know the Devil is not to be trifled with. I do not mind your side-missions as long as they do not threaten yours or our safety though I frown on it in general. I'll cut you slack this last time. Your going to cut off your little tie with the Devil. Your not an Incubus and your not going to become one." Eliza turned as a shadow detached from the wall "Now go! Downstairs and out of my my sight!" Rowan blinked surprised and went to the trapdoor. The shape formed into a creature of medium height. Lizard skin showed under a scholars humble clothing and the body was topped with an octopus head with twitching tentacles. "Rowan isn't worth it, Miss Gray. Let him sell himself to the Devil. Lilith would enjoy him." Eliza blinked and said"I don't know what to do with him, Dweller." the creature sighed and said "It's up to you to decide." before melting back into the shadows its voice calling to Eliza "He has to make that decision for himself. You could always promote him and give him more freedom." Eliza turned and tromped back across town to go get the kids from the cafe. He strolled lightly through the sleeping city of London, looking at the buildings as he walked through streets and alleys alike. He looked down at a small pocket that houses the inter-dimensional space in which he kept his sword among several other items. All was well. Some time later, he arrived at the headquarters. He went in, looking for some food. He sat down in the headquarters's kitchen, eating his breakfast.

Rowan thought to himself angrly as he paced into his room. He layed down on his matress and looked around his sparce room, wishing he were back at his private suite at 16 Moonlit. He closed his eyes and thought back to that priest. That evil priest. That bastard. His father. He was born the forbidden son of a priest and a nun. His father wanted nothing to do with him, but could not outright get rid of him while his mother was alive. He was raised by the small church his father serviced in with three other orphans. When his mother, the nun died he was just 6 years old. Previously he was treated decently, only because his motherwas there to stop the priest. But when she died, his father went wild. The priest, relizing he couldn't possibly get away with murder, was content to treat him maliciously. Rowan was often beaten with a whip and forced to scrub the tiny church to a polish. He ate only breadcrusts and was isolated from the other orphans. After one year of this, Rowan had a beautiful dream. It was of a white shining light and a man on the clouds. The man told him that his suffering was over, that soon one of his people would visit his father and an opportunity to escape would be presented to him. Rowan knew he was going to be saved by God. Two days later, the Devil showed up. She entered the church and began talking to his father as he was polishing the candelabras. Apparently his father had been visiting brothels, and had been skipping on his tab. Thinking this was his opportunity, he quickly bloudgened his father to death with the candelabra. The Devil found him spunky, and raised him as her own. "But that's history, and this is an empty room. Hope we get to do somethin soon." |

Master Looter Posts: 2334 Joined: 14 Jan 2008 | Eliza crossed downwards into the dusty corridors of the Sanctuary, entering into the home-like atmosphere after she had passed through a black metal door. Inside she stopped only one, shooing two young students trying feebly to hide themselves for an extended make-out session. She was disgusted to comment but told them to find someplace else more hidden. She tromped down the stairs and into the living areas. She knew where Rowan's room was. The Dwellers idea piqued in her mind Promote him she thought. Thats what I must do. Get him out of my skin and let him ruin his own life. She approached his door, but stopped herself a moment and pressed a tentative ear to the door. It was silent inside, and Eliza decided she should take this carefully. Rowan was a good warrior, and he was needed by the Guardians. But he feared his mother figure was tempting him too much, causing more of his issues than were fixed. She rapped twice on the door. She heard a firm "Go away!" before she phased her hand through the door and unlatched the lock. She wasn't taking no for an answer. "Rowan. I had a thought." Rowan didn't even look at her and said "A thought, how marvelous. Shall we celebrate?" Eliza put her hands on her hips and said "I'm here to be nice Rowan show a little respect." he snorted and didn't respond. "You are a good warrior and a great Guardian. I worry for you, I worry you are loosing what once made you great. You were once renowned, your apprentices the best trained. You were a hero. Then you started drinking, you started leaving and going to brothels, started owing money." Rowan looked up and said "What the hell does this have to do with me, woman. Get it over with!" Eliza, patience thin said coldly "I am promoting you to the rank of Master. So fetch your mother and tell her to bear witness to it. You are long overdue for this honor." Rowan looked up surprised "What?" said he to Eliza standing suddenly "I......I'm shocked." Eliza crossed her arms and tapped her foot impatiently "Don't be. You still are a great warrior. And if you help us solve this case I promise to stop watching you like an unfit child. As long as you promise to keep yourself out of business that could get you killed." Rowan stepped forward and awkwardly hugged Eliza and said "Thank you...uh...ma'am......why the sudden change of heart?" Eliza shifted but did not break the short embrace just yet "Call it a foolish hope but I still see that old spark in your eyes. You were once a good friend." He broke the embrace and looked into Eliza's eyes. She saw in them a sad, nostalgic look in them. She knew of his first admiration for her then his complete obsession. "I may be your boss." said Eliza, undoing the barrettes that held her hair up "But I'm not as old as you think I am, I know how to let my hair down once and a while ." Eliza shook her long locks down and said kicking the door shut behind her "Now go lie down, we have business to attend to." The Following Sentence Is False I'll Wait For Your Heads To Explode.... |

Karina had always hated when the taste of the coffee was drowned out with cream and sugar. Smelling the coffee Karina sighed wishfully. Wanting instead to be in a cozy bed, perhaps with a man, in a stunning mansion, instead of being here, in a cramped shop, with crappy tasting coffee, surrounded by mostly strangers. "This sucks.." Karina muttered under her breath. |

Master Looter Posts: 2334 Joined: 14 Jan 2008 | Eliza grimaced as she pocketed the barrettes she had removed and went stalking off after the Dweller. Down and down into the ancient Library he called home. We has there, glasses perched somehow on his bulbous face and reading from the Voracious Grimoire, a book of demonic magic that killed non-demons who read it. "Dweller, I appreciate the gesture f looking out for my safety but please do not be voyeuristic or I will seriously consider blasting your head off again." the Dweller didn't flinch, instead just flipped to another page running his finger over the text as he read "I am talking to you, Dweller. Respect me!" "Respect is not give when you are in anger, Miss Gray. You know this." Eliza bit her lip and leaned on the table opposite of the Dweller and leered at him until he looked u "What I do with my Guardians is none of your business Dweller. I know you are indentured to me but can you not go and do something else?" the Dweller make a cricking noise from somewhere inside his head, something Eliza interpreted as laughing, "Miss Gray you do make me laugh. I've known all about your affair with Rowan since it began. I do not care and I get no satisfaction from it. You are free to bed whomever you wish." Eliza sighed and turned to leave but as she neared the door the Dweller shouted over his shoulder and said "I do not expect your internal emotions to reflect your appearance. If you wish to speak on this, come find me." that was the Dweller, therapist for the Guardians. A demon of indeterminate age with power beyond comprehension who spent his days studying human interaction and forever reading his large tome of demonic knowledge. Eliza decided to send another Guardians to fetch anyone she may have left behind at the Star and Pentacle and went down to the morgue. Rowan, Cedric and Steve stood over the huge and bulky devise as it powered up. She hated the ugly thing and it took about six people to heft it. Not for her, though, she remarked to herself. Images were projected onto the ceiling where the projector's eye was. Images seemingly flowed like a motion picture through a small sequence of events. A great hairy four legged beast leaping through a window then at the person whose mind the collar was revealing. Steve visibly flinched when the beast engulfed the view and then it went dark. The devise deactivated and slowed to a whistling halt. "So......what does the evidence tell us." said Eliza walking behind Rowan and to Cedric's side and stood there obstinately waiting for his response. "Something dog-like ripped this person from ass to teakettle. Then left." Eliza nodded and said "Gather a team, follow our leads. Check out the witches, Cedric. And ignore your phobia." Cedric nodded but swallowed a knot in his throat. Eliza turned to Rowan and while placing an hand on his shoulder said "Me and you are going to go get the rest and go hunting for lycanthropes." Rowan nodded and as she passed to his opposite side she whispered into his ear "First we have something to take care of" before grabbing his by his left arm and dragging him out of the room. "Work, work, work." grumbled Rowan as she dragged him out of the room. When the heavy door shut and latched behind them she took a moment of indiscretion to push Rowan up against the wall and plant a kiss on his lips before kicking in the door of the storage room in "Lets have some privacy." said Eliza, placing wards on the door to keep out the noise they were bound to make and any prying eyes. Rowan smirked that little smirk she always liked. The one that made her melt like new candle wax. She kicked her shoes off into the corner and said to Rowan, lustily "Go lay down on the gurney over there I don't feel like laying on the cold floor." He didn't even say anything, they both knew their old tryst was still strong even after years of separation. Eliza just crawled onto Rowan and whispered to him to undress her and that was all that needed saying. The Following Sentence Is False I'll Wait For Your Heads To Explode.... |

There's an eagle's head carved into the front, and if it is ever seen without his hand on it, the beak has a trigger beneath it. It, judging by the way he cares for it, was created either by himself, or came at a large expense to himself. Zeke walked down the streets that he so fondly remembered. They'd changed a lot in the last 300 years. Families had lived and died, shops had evolved, changed. He remembered rushing to the bakers to buy bread, haggling with the butcher for meat.
All of that was gone now, a long with his parents.
Zeke stopped for a moment, pausing to take in the area, his old haunts. Now they were all but decrepid ruins. He looked at his hand. He was all that was left to avenge his family. The drakes were responsible for the deaths. He would kill every last one he came across who was affiliated with Dracon Mar. The Drake who had led the massacre on his family.
He realised that his jaunt had taken him roughly 45 minutes. He used the ridiculous teleportation spell in order to go back to the café. Once he had finished retching in the side street, he stepped in again, to be greeted by the warm, slightly sulfuric smell that accompanied the greater demons.
"Oh, it's her again." Zeke said as he sat down besides the others.
