Alright, looks like the basic detail work is done. Anyone awake enough to hit the pubs? I know a great place over on Moonlit.

"You know I don't drink, man." John said.
"I'm sure intoxication feels great, but I'd much rather be alert when something tries to kill me. I think I'll go see what I can find out these prints."

Kane stopped twirling the knife and slid it into its sheath as he stood "I'm in. Not like there's anything better to do around here."

Steve stepped out of the house.
I found prints inside, and a few blood drops..

He crouched at the victim.
Have you found a match for his fingerprints? Tell me if they match these..

Steve handed John a piece of paper with a copy of the print. The ink was fresh and almost smudged everywhere.

Be careful not to touch it just yet, still a bit wet
Steve went back into the house and started heading for the stairs to the 2nd floor when he turned around.

I might need some backup, I don't want to sweep the whole building myself if I find something...
He said, standing there between the door and the stairs, waiting for someone to enter the house.

Kane stared at Steve for several moments before saying "Ahhh, bugger" and stepping inside "Want some help?" He asked, looking Steve in the eye.

Sure do, come on, let's sweep the upstairs, and then we'll do the downstairs..
Steven walked upstairs but halted before opening the door at the top of the stairs.

Kane unsheathed both knives, flipping the dagger in his right hand so that the blade was facing upward while the one in his left hand remained facing downward, he ascended the stairs, stopping behind and just to the left of Steven. "Ready?" He asked, raising his blades into a blocking position.

Karina yawned widely as the group bickered amongst themselves. The sun had fully risen and its rays shined down upon each of them. Karina welcomed the sun with a large grin. Warmth spread through her body and she stretched happily.

Looking at the other she walked to the small group and spoke.

"Do you need any help?"

"You could help set this thing up, please," grunted Dekres, pulling the tripod about.

"Or at least carry the camera or something."

"Sure thing", said Karina. Grabbing the tripod she moved the legs apart and snapped them into place. She then grabbed the camera and mounted it onto the tripod.

"There you go."

Zeke snored softly in his sleep. Memories of his past coming to him through the waves of his unconsciousness. His parents being gutted by one of the demons, he didn't know what they were then, but he knew now. Drakes.

He fidgeted uncomfortably leaning against the wall. Unfortunately moving any amount caused him to lose his leaning balance and he slipped sideways, hitting his head on the pavement, awaking with a start.

"Son of a...." He mumbled, pushing himself to his feet.

He walked over to the rest of the group that were around the body.

"So. What's the story?"

With a cracking pulse Eliza, Cedric and Jericho appeared inside on a darkened cavern wide and tall. Houses were worked into the cliffs, made of stone and metal and fashioned out of the walls themselves. Eliza turned around and faced towards a smaller rising tunnel and said "Come. The aster of the Treasury will be sleeping as the rest of the Witchknives are."

The wind blew down cold and biting from a hole in the cavern ceiling as it opened again showing a large evil looking castle seemingly growing from the cave walls. The gates were locked fast, but Eliza rapped on them once before they were opened simply. Witchknives were known for both their vigilance as well as their abilities over the mind. Eliza nodded to the guards and told them she wished to see the Minister of Treasury. The guards barked out in a language to a mortal ear would be incomprehensible but to Eliza meant follow Eliza turned to Cedric and said "If you feel sick, try to to heave into the Minister's vault." Cedric nodded, stretched but said nothing. Jericho wrapped his jimjams closer around him and mumbled "Colder that satan's heart here." Elzia, without turning around, returned "If you didn't wear your bathrobe you wouldn't be as cold."

When they entered the vault where the Minister of Treasury for the Witchknives slept Cedric and Jericho marveled at the splendor. A pool of money fit for Scrooge McDuck sprawled below them in a deep pit. They walked across a stone promontory to where it opened into a cleft in the rock. Inside was a cozy, warm room full of lush rugs and other frippery. The Minister of Treasury, a vastly overweight Athame of indeterminate age slept in a large armchair, glasses and chequebook balanced on his lap. Eliza coughed and turned and motioned for Cedric and Jericho to smile. Cedric tried to look happier but for the look on his face of bile in the throat. Jericho looked up with sagging sleepy eyes, yawned and smiled lazily. The Minister of Treasury opened one lizard eye and then sat up slowly and said, haltingly "What can I do for you, High Masters?" Eliza returned hotly "What was one of your coins doing on a murder victim today?" The Minister of Treasury blinked lazily, eyes glazed and said "I do not keep track of everyone who comes in to trade. Only the coin spent." Eliza, irritated, said "Cedric, explain." and Cedric spoke on the scene and the coin discovered. "Ah...that one." said the Minister, flipping through his chequebook before coming to a page and said "Two left the Athame Sanctuary yesterday. One to a witch coven on the east side of the river. One to a normal looking gentlemen....but he had a funny smell. Like he had forgotten what bathing was." Elzia nodded and turned to Cedric who was holding a balled fist to his throat, miming heartburn. "Did they trade for these rare coins here with you?" the Minister nodded and said "Such an old coin, is valuable to us. Passed by many Athame hands. It was a great pain to part with mine but that gentleman offered me something I couldn't refuse. Wolfsbane." Eliza nodded, the herb used by many to cure lycanthropic curses, Athames prized it as a commodity. A single branch to them meant indelible fortune. "Thank you for your information Minister." the Minister nodded and said sharply "Now let me sleep!" and stood slowly and waddled away. Eliza turned and said "Shall we go check on our little ones?" before touching the pendant at her throat "Alyxandyr, stay where you are we are coming back presently." before grabbing Cedric and Jericho's hand and teleporting them.

When they reappeared near the others, Cedric stumbled to the side and heaved once before wiping his mouth. Teleportation was rough.

Cedric was glad most of the others had gone inside the house. He stumbled to an alley and sat down, in case he felt like throwing up a third time.
"Fuck teleporting." He grumbled, and stumbled back to the others.

He stood by the doorway of the house, so he could talk to the others.
"Dekres, Kane, get down here. You two can help me carry the body." He said, his bad mood showing in his voice.
"Karina can you get a bag to carry him in, and we'll need you to open the trapdoor for us when we get back." And with those words, he walked back over to the body, crossing his arms and sighing.
This is gonna be a long day. He thought.

Eliza stepped into the house, observing the scene with a carefully trained eye. She called to the folks still moving about, finishing up gathering their evidence. "Jericho will teleport the evidence to the forensic laboratory for going-over. Ewan, Alixandyr, John, Rowan Charlie and Zeke if you folks need a pick-me-up follow me. I'm going to the Star and Pentacle, I need coffee and somethin' substantial to eat. Steve, if you don't mind helping Jericho I would appreciate it."

The Star and Pentacle was a local pub and restaurant for the Supernatural community. Hidden from plain sight in an alleyway near the Globe Theater on All Hallows Street. It served clientčle from the wickedest of warlocks to Guardians. Spellworking was forbidden inside of the pub, named neutral territory by the half-demon shop owner Dell. Who would have thought that very morning the younger Guardians would be treated to the best Belgian waffles this side of the English channel. Since Dell's wife was a baker from Belgium, she loved to serve her famous waffles to anyone who ordered. And, of course, nothing was better for an empty stomach than a fluffy waffle with syrup, butter and a side of eggs.

"Have fun." Cedric said sarcastically, his eyes barely more than slits as he glared.
His mood getting worse, he took a few deep breaths, and kicked the body over so it was lying flat.

Karina looked over at Eliza and quickly took notice of the Wolfsbane. She flinched but returned back to her work, which she finished a few minutes after. The Wolfsbane had the potential to cure her lycanthrope curse.

Karina made her way beside Cedric.

"Was that wolfsbane that Eliza was carrying?"

"Looks like it." Cedric replied, glancing back at Eliza.
"Anyway, think you can magic up a bag to take him to the morgue in?" He asked Karina.

Steve descended back down the stairs at the voice of his superior.

"Alright I'll hit up the Star, Dell owes me some cash anyway. But I'm still heading over to Moonlit afterword for absinthe and a talk with Satan. I'll see if she knows anything about this."

Ewan, Alixandyr, John, Rowan Charlie Zeke and Eliza all took a quick jaunt over to the Star and Pentacle. Rowan ordered and consumed three stacks of Belgian waffles then walked up to a lone man sitting behind the counter. The man wasn't overly tall and had a slightly pinched look about him. Jet black hair ran down to his shoulders, and a pointed tail stuck out behind his back. This was Dell, the hipster half-demon and owner of the cafe.

Rowan leaned in and whispered, "alright Dell, you owe me 30 gold standards for services rendered. He was a hard catch, but I pulled it off."
"Nothin' till I see the head man, you know the deal," Dell spoke back sharply, betraying his forked tounge.
"Fine damnit," Rowan said. He made an elaborate motion and pulled a severed head a pocket in his robe. He held it by a horn, letting it loll to the side a bit.
"Fine damnit," Dell said as he tossed a sack over to Rowan.
"You know you love me Dell, who else would do your dirty work?" Rowan giggled as he walked away from the counter.

"Behind the back dealings are frowned upon, Rowan," Eliza said, anger in her eyes.
"I know the dance Eliza," Rowan laughed as he tossed 20 gold pieces to her.

"Of course I can." With the snap of her fingers a large body bag appeared in Karina's left hand. She handed it to Cedric and smiled.

"You can do the rest."

"Thanks." He said, taking the bag and smiling for the first time that day.

With Kane's help, Cedric managed to get the mangled corpse into the bag and zipped it up.

"This guy isn't as heavy as I thought." He paused for a second.

"Hey Karina, you can go join the others if you like. Dekres can open the trap door for us instead."

"Sure why not, I'm the bloody slave here anyway," he mutters standing slightly behind Cedric and Kane, "prick."

He begins to play a tune on his bow string as he follows the sway of movement in front of him dazedly.

"What could have killed him, or more specifically, what killed him and planted that coin on him?" he asks himself.

Zeke sat down, the sleep depravation showing in his eyes. However as soon as he saw the waffles placed in front of him, glistening and steaming, all thoughts of sleep removed themselves from his mind. He wolfed them down like a ravenous animal, stopping only to drain his coffee.

He put his cutlery on the empty plate and stood up, the caffeine giving his body renewed vigor. He walked out of the bar, and stepped out into the cold london air, the sun was rising.

"Today. Is going to be a good day." He said with a smile, strolling down the avenue.

Eliza drummed her fingers on her left bicep angrily as Rowan walked out of the cafe and said "I apologize on behalf of the Guardians." to Dell who nodded and said "No prob, he does a good job. He's just jumpy sometimes." Eliza nodded and turned her head. Entering the cafe was a tall and slender woman with long locks of jet black hair and was all elegant curves and clinging red satin. The boys all stopped and stared as she entered sat own and motioned a waiter to take her order Eliza noticed how the young boy fidgeted and sweated as he wrote down the woman's order. This femme fatale, when the waiter left, allowed a red tail with a pointed tip curl up from under her skirt and curl around the teapot and pour some tea. The boys who had followed Eliza were practically drooling at the table they were sitting at. Eliza rolled her eyes and walked over the the boys and said with contempt dripping from her words "Thats the Devil herself your ogling." and turned to follow Rowan. He needed a boot in the seat of his pants again. One more reprimand as she was probably going to eject him from the Guardians. His penchant for frequenting bars and brothels, taking side jobs. It bit her inside like angry thorns. He had potential, but his dealing with unsavory characters made her bite her lip in anger as she stalked towards the Moonlit. She was tired of his dealings with the madames who constantly barraged her with messages threatening lawsuit for the children he had sired by accident or payment owed. The Guardians provided all he needed, why cause such ruckus?

Eliza remembered the little ones were alone in the Star and Pentacle, staring longingly no doubt at the Devil. This would the first and last time she would have to kick his door down and drag him back to their sanctuary.

"I'll stay here with you if ya don't mind." Karina watched as the body was being bagged. Looking back up towards the sky Karina took notice of the time.

"We sure have been out here for a while."

"I heard that y'know." Cedric said to Dekres, an evil smile on his face as he and Kane carried the body between them down the cobbled streets.
"What time is it anyway Karina?" He said, hoping he could take a break once they got back to the Sanctuary, or at least some coffee.

The 4 of them kept walking, trying to avoid any main roads since it was daytime now. They eventually reached an old, crumbling church.
"Door." Cedric said happily, looking at Dekres and smirking.
"And if it hits me 'by accident' I might suspend you."

"If you do it means I don't need to listen to you harp on at me for a while," he replies smiling thinly as he pulls the door open for the others.

"So if it hits you 'by accident' I get suspended? What if I admit to doing it?" he asks sarcastically.

Rowan caught a whiff of sulfur as he stepped out into the rain. "Looks like the person I'm lookin for just appeared inside," Rowan thought to himself and smiled. He spun once again and turned into the cafateria, turning incorporeal quickly to avoid a steaming Eliza. He glanced briefly at the table full of apprentices who had only eyes for the beautiful-as-sin woman chatting nonchalantly with Dell.
"Careful kids, the Devil tends to get angry if you're not offering a commitment," he warned them as he walked by.
"Excuse me ma'am, does it smell like sulfur in here to you?" Rowan said casually.
"Who in the hell do you think I am bo....Rowan? Is that you?" The Devil went from angry, to startled, to elated in a blink of an eye.
"Happy birthday to my favorite demon," Rowan handed over a silver plated pentagram. It was bloodstained and felt warm to the touch. From across the room, Eliza's eyes lit up in surprise and recognition.
"I love it!" she exclaimed, hugging Rowan. His skin burned and healed where exposed.
"I'm just returning it to the original owner, that cult we took down did steal it."
"It's just the thought that counts."
"Twasn't nothin. Now, do you have any information on murderers using athame coins? Some poor bastard we found had one in his mouth."
"I'll keep an eye open."
"Keep two," Rowan said, and the Devil smiled yet again. "If you find anything, send it over to the Guardian headquarters, I've got a feeling I'm grounded again."

"Its about 6:30 am. Maybe we should all get some coffee. Knowing our schedules we probably won't get to sleep any time soon."

I hope they say yes. I need coffee, it'll help me stay awake.
