Kane shot the head off of one skeleton, it kept moving, he systematically shot all it's limbs off

"Huh..." Cedric focused on the skeleton behind him, now the first one had been taken care of. He waited for Kane to finish shooting then focused most of his mana, shooting a huge fireball at the skeleton's limbs, causing its glass bones to overheat and shatter into pieces.
There goes my Mana. He thought to himself, although he felt better after venting his anger.

"Aww you used fire, I am so proud of you Cedric"

Jericho grinned.

Kane started to whistle a sine tone

They exited near the hull of the ship, and saw another staircase leading upwards. When they reached the top they entered a strange looking laboratory. There were glass vials filled with strange liquids lining the walls, and test tubes full of mutated experiments.

"Well...this doesn't look like a trap at all." Kane said with a sigh

Cedric nodded, agreeing with Kane's sarcasm. He decided to stay near the walls, hoping non of the horrible looking things in the test tubes were more monsters to fight.

Zeke walked into the area full of the mutated experiments. He stopped and sniffed.

" Smells fucking disgusting in here. Unnatural." He shuddered, his whole body of fur rippling.

As the last of them walked into the dark laboratory, the gust of wind blew through the room, causing the door the slam shut. Awoken by the noise, the creatures in the large test tubes stirred, and smashed their way out. The creatures flew at them, one of them latching onto Dekres' head.

Kane shot one off the ceiling and shot several more rounds into it before dropping the rifle and unsheathing his knives

Damien backhanded the creature that was on Dekres' head. When it was twitching on the ground, he crushed it with his heavy boot. "Look out. i think these things are parasites." Damien shouted after noticing the prong that extended out of the monster's mouth.

"Oh fun" Kane said as he began to slice at the creatures

John raised his rifle and shot one of the creatures in the wing and watched it drop to the floor. He hit another creature in its center before dropping his rifle as one of them flew towards his face. He looked at it as it flew and bent his will on it, using the Fae magic instinctively, and it dropped to the floor and twitched. Hey, that's cool. I wonder if I can do that again. John thought. He focused on another creature that was swooping down towards Cedric, and watched as it dropped to the floor after emitting a high-pitched squeal. John picked up his rifle, put it in the extra-dimensional pocket on his jacket, and pulled out his sword. He chopped one in half easily.

"Mooncalves!" cried Eliza, hooting the last one as it swooped around screeching. The Dweller melted out of the floors shadows and said "Parasites from the dark side of the moon. Star Spawn favor them as canon fodder." Eliza looked around and they kept walking down the row of alchemical vials and strange equipment and towards a staircase stained with vile substances. "Where's Cedric?" asked Kane, looking behind them. Eliza looked around and the Dweller said "I cannot sense him. The Queen must have snatched back her prize" and waved them onwards into a room here a large circular pit with a metallic catwalk over looked a massive pulsing green egg. Eliza had to sue all her strength to keep from retching and held her hand to her swollen stomach. Down below Mooncalves flew around amongst the pipes that seemed to feed the egg with chemicals. Mooncalves crawled out of the egg as well, newborns. "Its a hatchery..." commented Jericho before saying "Can I burn it?" Eliza shook her head and said "Move slowly as we can, don't make to much noise and lets get to the the other side." as she shuffled over the mettalic catwalk she heard Zeke, in his lupine form, sneeze. Eliza cringed but the Mooncalves did not notice so she kept moving to reach the other side.

The other side wasn't much better. After she closed the door there was another corridor full of cylinder tanks with people floating in them. Mooncalves had attached to the people's heads and they were being mutated into grotesque mockeries of human form. Chitinous plates over their skin, hardened pincers for hands and the Mooncalves squidlike head sending the tentacles snaking through the neck and under the skin as they played around inside the peoples bodies.

Rowan snapped back into conciousness quickly, knowing what his purpose was. He had the look of a man who had just seen the light. Rowan had seen the battle, seen the splendors and horrors, and knew. He jumped up from the wall and brushed himself off. "Ewan, the others are in trouble. I know where they are, and I know how to get there. Grab onto my robe and we'll warp now."
"Aren't you the least bit hung over?"
"I have the tolerance of a bull, I've spent the last century drinking and partying. The alcohol was just for meditation," Rowan laughed, pulling out his scythe.
"Whatever you say..."

Ewan grabbed onto Rowan's cloak, and they both warped to the scene of the battle. Rowan lept to the nearest squid-man and severed the two.

Eliza whirled as Rowan and Ewan appeared in a cracking explosion, shattering the glass tubes. At once the suspended creatures hobbled about confusedly. Screaming and moaning inanely. Eliza opened fire and mercifully killed the creatures. The Mooncalves slowly extracted them selves from the bodies leaving the bare and bloody skull with a sucking sound. They stretched their wings and prepared to attack the team. Eliza shouted to the Dweller who began firing zinging blasts of sizzling blue energy, tiny lighting bolts, boiling the creatures. They kept moving and Rowan fell into step next to Eliza "Are you OK?" he asked concernedly. Eliza nodded and said "Though the smell here could make me gag." Rowan laughed and the group ascended another set of stairs into an antechamber. It was full of strange bits of steampunk machinery which seemed to be geared towards moving a giant egg beater that was deep within the earth churning a roiling cloud of blue green energy. "The Earth's source of magical power. We do not know how it was placed there, or how the Dragons came to understand it. But those with the ability to control it are few. This machine is stirring the energies released b the World Tree's death. It leads to the pinnacle. That burning fire atop it is brewing the Storm of Vengeance. The storm that will cover the Earth and destroy it." said the Dweller looking about before climbing a rickety metal staircase around the machinery.

" These things are making my sinuses go crazy. They stink! Sorry Eliza. Zeke kept on walking as he complained loudly. If the others thought these smelt bad they had no clue. And their screeching noises caused him to get a headache.

" Are we getting there? I just want to kill this star-bitch and then go back. World saved, sorted. Zeke wagged his tail impatiently.

As they continued walking Zeke began to think of other things. As he was recounting the recent turmoil in his life he realised one thing.

He hadn't actually told Aimee what they were doing.

" Shit..." He mentally slapped himself, imagining the chaos that the female lycan student would be causing.

"I wish I could tell him to get out of my head, it's annoying having someone else in here when I'm confined to quarters!" Dekres screams in his skull, semi-wishing Zeke could here it even though he shouldn't.

"Maybe I should write a note to Eliza saying sorry for being a dick...even if I get to talk for about 5 minute before getting muted again."

"Wait a minute..." he thinks focusing his mana into his hand, it began to freeze his hand and he quickly stopped as it began to burn his hand with the cold.

"Fuck it that won't work..." he sighs silently following the others.

Eliza rescinded the talking ban on Dekres and said over her shoulder as she climbed into the next ring of the Necropolis "I think you've learned your lesson." on the other side of the next wooden door was a hugely sprawling Library. It was stacked to the ceiling with books and ladders on rollers were all over the place. There were 5 levels worth of nothing but bookshelves, tables, chairs and other study materials. "This is the Repository. All works of human literature are here. Every book, every bit of published material. Every scrap of history of our people and yours. There are over 3 billion books. There are even books from our world was well." said the Dweller looking around. "There is a door somewhere in here into the central spire. We will take that staircase to the top." Eliza looked around a bit and said "Smells cleaner in here." the Dweller shook his head as he led them down the aisles "Don't be fooled Obsidian Skeletons guard this area. Listen, they follow us even now" and Eliza could hear the creatures scuffling about where they couldn't see them. It was only when the door behind them slammed shut and locked that the creatures began crawling into the open.

"What is it with this palce and skeletons!?" Kane asked, realising he had left his rifle a few rooms back.

Rowan lit his scythe on fire and slashed through two skeletons. The fire ripped through the remains, turning it to dust.

Ewan pulled out his Vial of Saelite and held it in his closed hand. Waiting for a group of the skeletons to approach him, he opened his hand, and let the light shine from the glass vial. The skeletons crumbled in the light, and those on the edge of its range shied back into the darkness.

"Wow... This stuff actually works like it's supposed to. Thank you Queen Titania..." Ewan said smugly.

Eliza turned to the Dweller and said "Run, we follow." he nodded and legged it. Eliza whistled for everyone to run but it was awkward, she was now heavier than she was sued to and it was tough keeping up. Rowan was riding on the back of Zeke and picked Eliza up and plopped her on Zeke's back before leaping off to keep the skeletons at bay How natural of him

They reached the door that the Dweller had spoken of but as he went to pull it open Eliza turned to see something leaning against one of the bookcases. A mirror, a full length one, rested at an angle against it. She got off and stepped over to look at it. It had no real adornment, except a silver colored border engraved with arcane symbols she did not know the meaning of. She reached out and touched it at the moment that Rowan approached. He said something, but it sounded far away as she gazed at her own reflection. It faded away, as if black ink were boiling behind the mirror and an image appeared. It was of Avalon, she was sure. The Chamber where the World Tree stood. It was dead, surrounded all around by dead earth and a poisonous pool. She saw a woman, she did not know who, wearing the Mantle of Avalon. The golden torq whose pieces they were uncovering. She held out her hands and life giving power flowed outwards and the World Tree suddenly bloomed with pink flowers. A wave of power swept outwards, but within this invigorating surge of natural magic came the hint of demonic corruption. At once the image faded and she was dragged backwards by the Dweller through the door. Just as she wrenched her gaze away a skeleton stepped on the mirror, shattering it. The door was flung shut and the Dweller panted as he held it shut before sealing it with a spell beyond her power to maintain. Everyone else looked at her as suddenly reality came rushing back to her "What were you doing dear?" asked Rowan, helping her up. "We were trying to get you through the door but you wouldn't listen." said Dekres "Did you suddenly become fascinated by that shiny mirror there?" Rowan lashed out and smash Dekres's face against the stone wall nearby and Dekres fell tot he ground and said "You broke my nose!" Alix cast a spell and knit the bone back together with a crunch and Dekres squealed and said "That hurt more!" "QUIET!" hissed the Dweller and he turned to Eliza. "What did you see?" he asked. Eliza told him what she saw and he nodded "That was the Mirror of Fate. Those who gaze upon it shall see the near future. It is more curse than blessing." Eliza followed the Dweller as he led them upwards on a stone staircase "This must be the central tower." said John as he shook some dust from his coat. "There are 220 steps between us and the top. It will be a miserable climb, but we must keep going." said the Dweller as they walked.

Zeke looked with slight concern at Eliza. Whatever she'd seen had obviously not been good.

He made sure that only Eliza could hear what he said next. " Eliza. Get on my back 220 steps isn't good for anyone, especially not someone with a baby. " He crouched down to allow her to climb on.

He then spoke aloud to the others.
" Anyone else want to get on? there's room for one more if you're damn lazy."

"Wait, before we climb this staircase to what I suppose will be an epic final battle, I have something to say," Rowan said as he got down on one knee. "Eliza, in front of our friends, werewolves, and star spawn respectively, I'd like to ask for your hand in marriage."

Eliza blinked several times, Blindsided. "I I ummmm" she tried to start. "Yes!" she said. Shaking, confusedly. "Whats with the sudden change of heart?"

"Would you believe me if I said I got really drunk and had a revelation? My life can only get better with you in it."

"It isn't too far-fetched." said Eliza. She smiled and took the ring and slid it on her finger and admired it "Oh, it's wonderful Rowan.." and hugged him. "Now this doesn't mean no more drinking, smoking or sex. It just means not around the kids." said Eliza smiling. Rowan nodded and said "OK."
