"Lets just get this over with." Cedric said, walking towards the Necropolis.
He stopped outside the huge doors, looking up.
Wow, these doors are huge. He gently pushed one open, expecting them to creak, but they were silent.

Rowan warped back into the club and walked up to the bar. "Five fingers, whiskey. I need to get wasted and think."

Cedric walked into the dark room, it was too dim to see anything.
"Anyone got a light?" He asked. Next to him Jericho made a fireball in his hands, which lit up the room.
The walls were dusty and stained, with expensive looking paintings hung on the walls, but they were faded. A Gothic and lethal looking chandelier hung from the ceiling.
There were 2 doors on either side of the room, both looked exactly the same.
"Which way then?" He asked the others, as they all crowded into the room.

Eliza looked around ten turned as the Dweller's shape melted from the wall's shadows. "We go up." he said pointing to the large staircase. At the top, there was a large rotunda with several room opening into it. Six on the floor they were on, six one level above and six more above that. "The Hall of History. Where the Star Spawn cultivated the artifacts of humanities past." said the Dweller moving slowly to the center of the hall. "Each room will be a different period in time. We must find which room has a staircase to lead to the next level. Down here is ancient history, Mayan, Egyptian, Greek, Roman all sorts of civilizations that are old." Eliza nodded and said "We can check each room one by one."

Kane silently followed behind everyone, twirling his knives as he went along.

Zeke looked up at the staircase. He was already planning a way that he could climb the sides quickly.
" Eliza...Couldn't I just scale the building? I'm pretty damn sure my claws are sharp enough." He looked at his 'hands', the light glinted off his dagger-sharp claws.

Eliza turned in a circle and picked a room at random. It was filled to bursting with Egyptian artifacts. Odds and ends strewn about. Shelves bursting with stuff. Looking around, she didn't see any sort of door or staircase or anything to show where the ramp up to the next level was. Leaning against a table she let the rest of the team poke around for a bit.

Cedric walked cautiously around the room, passing by several sarcophagi leant against both walls.
"Hey, you think those have real mummy's in?" He said, edging around them nervously.

"No, i'm pretty sure your mummy isn't here" Kane said with an idiotic grin, sheathing his knives

"That's my line," grunts Dekres gently slapping Kane's head.

"Why don't you jump in one then there will be Cedric?" he says with a devilish smile, "or just jump in and we'll see if you can teleport out of it."

Kane only grinned wider as Dekres whapped him on the back of the head "I thought your line was 'why, do you want your mummy?'" he said, by now he had a full-blown cheshire grin

Rowan sat alone in an alley, liquor bottles surrounding him. He had transcended his body, and was in his medatative slump. He had completely blacked out, his thoughts sepperated from his body. He had no idea what would his body would do in the next 2 hours, all he had to do was collect his thoughts.

Cedric glared at both Kane and Dekres, balling his hands into fists.
"Why don't you both shove it up your ass." He said, his anger getting the better of him.

"Might need something to get it started," Dekres mumbles looking at one if the sarcophagi, "nah we'd need a miracle to shove one of them up your arse Kane," he laughs heartily.

Kane leaned over and mumbled to Dekres "I think Cedric's already got something shoved up his arse, would explain alot."

"My hearing's a lot better than you think." He said to Kane, while looking at a weird Egyptian mask. He tapped it lightly with his hand, causing some dust to rise into the air.

"Looks like it'll be your arse getting kicked for a change," smiles Dekres watching Cedric facing away in total rage.

"For now, I shall go somewhere else before murder rears it's head," he slaps Kane's back, "good luck!"

"Well...that's a bummer....OOH! WHASSAT!" Kane exclaimed, staring intently at a golden scarab

Cedric looked out of the corner of his eye at what Kane was staring at. He was tempted to throw it at him, but got distracted when he noticed one of the sarcophagi was now open.
He glanced around the room, a few of the others also seemed to be slightly open, and he was certain they were sealed shut when everyone had entered the room. He carefully took his gun out of his pocket, just in case.

Zeke sniffed the air, something old had tainted the atmosphere. Something old and perceptively evil.

" Be careful here. Something doesn't want us here, and it probably has the means to kill us if we're not prepared. It doesn't smell like the zombies will attack us either. But watch out."

Zeke walked over to one of the egyptian masks and brought a claw along its facet, causing a scratching sound to pierce the silence.

"Woops."

Eliza shifted her arm and a canopic jar that was laying on the table began to roll. She reached out to grab it but it was too late and it shattered with a crash against the floor. At once everyone became silent and looked at her. She blushed and said "Whoops" the Dweller turned and said "Listen." "Good going,'Liza. Whats next?" asked Dekres loudly. The Dweller waved a hand at him, muting his voice and he tried to speak but no sound came out. One sarcophagus's cover slowly slid away, and a decayed hand slipped out and shoved it to the side. At once all the rest followed suit and a set of shambling creatures covered in died white goop approached, leaving a trail of grease where they shuffled their feet. "Tallows..." whispered Eliza and she raised her Crossbow to shoot.

Kane looked down at his knives, then pulled his rifle off his shoulder

"Bet you guys wish it was my mother now." Cedric said sarcastically to Dekres and Kane, shooting at one of the Tallows. His bullets slowed down the creature, but did nothing to kill him.
"For fucks sake..." He unsheathed his sword instead, cutting the creature in two.

Damien noticed his master take out his gun. Damien slid into a fighting stance. He wondered what was wrong. then it hit him. The horrible smell. It smelled like someone had hit a skunk and then left it to ripen for 1000 years. "Zeke must be dying by now." he thought. Then he traced the smell. on of the sarcophagi that was sealed was now slightly ajar. "Ohhh, shit that can't be good." He muttered.

a tallow came out. Damien switched from the darkness blade to light. he cut down another one. this time it exploded into dust.

"Wait...your mom's actually dead?" Kane said as he fired several rounds into the nearest tallow "also..might I suggest a tactical retreat?"

"It's not something I like to talk about." Cedric said, adding extra effort to the word as he cut another Tallow's arm off. He figured the more limbs were separated the more likely the Tallow would die.

"Well, geez, had I known I wouldn't've made the joke." Kane was still backing towards the exit as there was no freaking way he was going to attempt to use his knives on a creature that could kill him with just a touch

Eliza did a high leap over the creatures and out towards the door, shooting at them from behind. The creatures turned and followed. The air became thick with their life draining auras. She felt her own self become sickened and weak. As the team back into a circle more spilled from nearby rooms before the entire circle was nearly full of them. "ENOUGH" shouted the Dweller sending a rippling wave of purple and gold tinged energy flowing outwards. Boiling the Tallows to piles of ashes. The presence faded from the air through now everything smelt of brimstone. A section of stone slid from the wall and showed a staircase up to the next level. "This way." said Eliza, shouldering her weapon.

Dekres' blade buried into a Tallows skull, it fell off and to the ground as he drew the blade back.

"Huh that worked," he grunts thinking.

"And no Cedric, if it was your mother, maybe she'd feel sorry for us and take you with her," he says sheathing his blade again.

*Why couldn't he have done that in the first place?* Kane thought to himself "Well...that was effective"

Damien chuckled as the wall slid open. "Damn, what is this, a videogame? Beat the monsters, door opens to next level? the guys sure have a sense of humor, i'll give 'em that."

"Yeah.. Okay." Cedric snapped, dropping his sword and punching Dekres in the face.

Damien walked over to Dekres and Cedric and moved inbetween them. "Dekres, you deserved that. and Cedric, as annoying as he and his voice are, we need every man we got. and if either of you disagree with me and still wanna fight each other, you will spend a week in the hospital. understand?"
